Love Always Wins & We Can’t Wait…

We’re thinking positively here at The Barn (good news on the vaccine roll-out especially!) and after looking at many gorgeous pictures that photographers have sent across, we couldn’t help reflecting on the moments that we’re looking forward to seeing again:

That feeling as the venue is set up in the morning – chairs out, tables out, decorations out, drinks being poured, lights turned on, lighting the candles, signs out

The hustle and bustle of suppliers arriving – “Hi! It’s been ages, how are you? Aren’t these flowers gorgeous?”

The emotional reveal of the Brides dress

Groups of guests arriving down the main steps to join everyone in the courtyard before the ceremony….and the hastily arriving last minute ones!

The smell of fresh florals through the Barns

Listening to guests sat in the ceremony, chatting and taking photos when the couple signs the register, with the low hum of music in the background

Seeing the group photos – throwing arms up in the air, big smiles on our steps, Granny standing at the front

That sparkle in the glasses of prosecco as the sun hits them

A frantic search to find someone who is missing from the important photographs

The first tray of canapes that goes round and the amazing smell that wafts through the venue

Watching the arrival of the spectacular cakes and seeing the talented baker adding the final touches to their creations

Showing the couple the wedding breakfast room all set up before their guests come in

The clink of cutlery as everyone starts to dig in

Laughter and clapping pouring out of the Threshing Barn from the speeches

The voice crackling and discreet tears of the Father of the Bride’s speech

Watching the sun pour through the doors onto the tables set up for the wedding breakfast

Waiting for the first dance song to be revealed

Weaving through the merry guests in the bar and on the dancefloor

Seeing people curled up in cosy blankets on the patio furniture round the firepit

Hearing the roar of approval when the first epic dance tune comes on that your friends love and guests coming together to belt out ‘your anthem’ (Mr Brightside anyone?)

The chatter as guests make their way to taxis / buses in the car park, “thanks for the drink!”, “see you in the morning”, “it’s not going to be an early one ….”
