Vehicles at a Cotswold Wedding Venue

Travel in Style…

The most traditional way to incorporate your favourite set of wheels into your wedding day is, of course, a car to take you to your ceremony and reception.

There are also some alternate options that offer the opportunity to have some fun and bring your personalities to the day!

Luxury Travel

Is there anything better than travelling in style? Whether it be on the way to your wedding ceremony, here at the Barn at Upcote or at a local church. For some, it is a welcome distraction from the excited little butterflies that have started to flutter around in anticipation after spending the morning getting ready. It is also a moment of calm to prepare yourself for the ceremony and spend some time alone with that special person whom will be walking you down the aisle.

For the majority, there are two choices for your car, vintage such as a classic Jaguar Mark II or modern  such as a Rolls Royce Phantom dressed with ribbons and flowers on display in the window to match your day. There is also the wonderful chauffeur who may even tempt you with some bubbles to celebrate this momentous occasion.

Some also love to treat their bridesmaids, in part as a thank you for everything they have done so far. You may wish them to arrive in style also and convoy together, enjoying the happy onlookers who smile with you, giving an added feeling of royalty!

Boho Travel

Want to make sure that your transport fits in with your wedding scheme… For a boho style wedding, how about a VW camper for your arrival? Plenty of space within for not only yourself and that arm for the aisle walk but also room for your bridesmaids.

A perfect solution for a trip along our private drive, taking in the countryside views on route to your ceremony / reception.

There are so many quirky ones available, you could match your chosen VW to your colour scheme and decorate with ribbons to match.

Or for something even more rustic charm, you could all arrive together on a tractor complete with trailer! Fantastic fun and a completely unexpected surprise for all your guests to see. It can even be utilised as a photo booth afterwards, with spectacular views in the background and bales to sit on.

Couples Transport

For those couples travelling from their church ceremony to the venue as newlyweds, taking a car to the reception together offers a wonderful opportunity for some quality time on the day to chat about everything that has happened so far!

You could even consider driving yourselves in a hired car (perhaps that retro car, you always dreamed of!) rather than have a chauffeur.

Or why not go all out…anyone for a helicopter?…This is the arrival of all arrivals, all the guests gathered in the courtyard watching the skies ready for your big entrance. If you can, why not! You can land on our Top Lawn and make a grand entrance together down the stairs.

Vehicles with a twist

If you are not worried about having a car (or helicopter, or tractor or horse and cart….) bringing you to the venue, there are other ways to incorporate vehicles into your day. Here are some vehicle options with a twist;

Rebecca Fulton Photography | www.fultonphotography.co.uk

Does your beloved truck feel like a member of the family, lots of treasured memories? Utilise it for a twist at your drinks reception! For added personalisation this particular couple teamed theirs with a surfboard and rustic troughs full to the bring with their favourite cider.

Or how about instead of focusing on the drinks reception, look at taking the evening food up a notch. One of our preferred caterers, Orchard Catering, has a converted original Mini turned into a pizza oven complete with Italian flag paint job. A real high light for evening guests and delicious fire roasted pizza!

Cycling is a very popular activity and a very easy hobby to incorporate into your day.

With cycle trails as table names, bike cake toppers and even mountain bikes adorning the doors on entering the ceremony. We also have our white tandem bicycle available for hire, complete with basket, you can fill with flowers to match your day and a chalk board that you can pop your personalised quote of choice on!

Now this idea we have to admit was pretty cool and up there amongst the many many highlights over the years. Though this one is most certainly all about personal connections and may be a little trickier to replicate…a casual fly over with the help of your squadron.

Transport is sometimes a forgotten way of expressing yourselves at your wedding, think outside the box… what ideas do you have?
